Criptonite, developed by Nina Mühlemann and Edwin Ramirez, established itself as a crip-queer event series that centres on artists with disabilities and creates an accessible, relaxed and fantastic utopia. Since September, the shows ‘Criptonite #1 Goes Extra Swiss’ and ‘Criptonite #2 Slow Animals’ have been created within this framework. In April, Criptonite is organising a digital focus on audio description with a workshop and panel due to coronavirus, and in June the third show ‘Criptonite #3 - Be Inspired!!!’. Criptonite is part of the Freischwimmen Network 2020-2021 and have created a Late Night Variety Show (premiere in autumn 2022) and two stage productions Pleasure (premiere in autumn 2023) and Creature Comforts (premiere in autumn 2023).
